April 6 - Thursday
I wrote 2 long letters this morning before I went to the ANC. One to Nana and one to Abuelita. I asked for Nacho when I got to the ANC to ask him of his results with Vita and here comes Marina making some nasty malicious crack but I forgive her because she brought me to the Gaiety this pm We saw “El Mago” staring Cantinflas. Then we all went back to the ANC. Nacho and I are real friends these days I’m so glad he likes me as a sister at least. Bill de Witt was there again. Boy does my heart skip a beat when I see him. He has a way of looking at you that makes me feel like melting. Honey brought Mercy’s blouse to my house today.
April 7 - Friday
It was a gray day this am but I went to the ANC anyway. The usual people were in the Teen Den including Bill with Tom V, Hans something and Linda Pratico. This Hans fellow played the guitar and Bill sang. Man, he’s really something, what a profile and he has a delightful sense of humor. He also played the piano. When he left, he began to sing his favorite song “Heart of Man” I ate lunch at the ANC with Nacho and Maribel. This afternoon I went swimming and so did Bill. He caught me looking at him at least a million times and he is very conceited but I caught him looking at me several times so there. Arno was very nice to me today. We might to Tagaytay on Sunday. Nacho is a real big brother to me.
April 8 - Saturday
Here I am using Daddy’s pen again since I’ve forgotten mine in Mercy’s home again. This morning I cooked today’s lunch all by myself and if I do say so myself it came out tasting pretty good. This pm I went to Mercy’s house. Honey was there and he looked at my wallet. Gosh his picture was in there. This evening we went to the party at Cynthia de Ocampo’s house. The party of Fr. Gonzalez for the parish teenagers. It wasn’t so bad considering. The boys were very nice and I talked with Emma Legarza....(Who lived in the “twin” of my house in the compound at 409 San Marcelino.)
April 9 - Sunday
Mercy, Margie and I went to Mass at 7 am. Then I got dressed (I mean, I changed into jeans) and Dad brought me to Mercy’s house. We left for Tagaytay at 9:30 and we arrived there at 10:30am. Then all of us girls, Mercy, Margie, Maribel, Maricar, Monse, Lita, Anna, Conchita, Chiqui and Albert and 2 guides hiked down a very steep hill to a waterfall. We laughed a lot and practically slid all the way down. Poor Lita had a hard time. Climbing back up was sheer torture and all of us nearly died in the process. Nena was also there and we had a lot of fun. I came home in Lita’s car. Nacho called up this evening to just talk. Vita wasn’t home and Maricar told Mercy that Vita likes Buddy Norton then Arno and Nacho last. Poor guy. She’s been leading him around in circles.
April 10 - Monday
I went sailing this am with Nena and Maribel. It was fun but we got a good scare when the sail suddenly “came about” and the boat almost capsized. I was trembling believe me. I said a few prayers. We ate lunch at the ANC with Conchita and Marina. Bill de Witt was there. Every time I see him I like him more. He’s the living end. He even talked to us. What a smile and what a profile and what everything. We played ping-pong and then the 5 of us went to Maribel’s apartment. There they put beer and rollers in my hair and then they combed it out and you know those five darlings left my hair just beautiful. They said I looked older and much better. Let’s hope I can keep it like this. Jose Luis and Nena brought me home. I told Nacho about Vita today. Poor guy. Nena and Maribel are the nicest!!
April 11 - Tuesday
I went to the ANC this am at 11 am. Nacho called up at home and asked if I was coming. I ate lunch at Nena’s house and it was very nice. Jose Luis is simpatico these days. Nacho still has problems with Vita. We went to see “Hand In Hand” at the Gaiety and Nena’s mom invited us all. Georgia Rittenhouse came with us. Back to the ANC later. Bill was there. Tom V probably knows I like Bill now after all the big fat hints Nena and I gave him. When Marina and I stayed after everyone else had left this evening, Tom, Bill and Hans came to talk with us. My heart really pounded when Bill was there and it hasn’t done that in a long time. Every time he’s around me he sings “Heart of Man” and I go nuts. Marina says they (Bill, Tom and Hans) are all going to her house on Sunday. I’ll simply die. Of course Bill couldn’t care less if I lived or died but gee, as long as I can see him. What a smile he has!!!!
